Cobbled lanes, ivy-covered houses and the white domes of the Sacré-Cœur: the village side of Paris, perched on its hill.

- Very busy from 10 am, quieter early
Plan your session
Montmartre packs a lot into a few streets: the steps of the Sacré-Cœur with all of Paris below, the pink walls of La Maison Rose, the steep Rue de l’Abreuvoir and hidden squares full of character.
Come early. At sunrise the hill belongs to locals and photographers, and the soft light on the cobblestones makes every corner work. Comfortable shoes are a good idea: the lanes are steep.

About this spot
What are the best photo spots in Montmartre?
The Sacré-Cœur steps, Rue de l’Abreuvoir, La Maison Rose and the small squares around Place du Tertre. Your photographer will know the quiet corners.
How do we avoid the crowds?
Plan your session at sunrise, ideally on a weekday. By mid-morning the main streets fill up.
